A national grassroots effort to make needed changes in the Magnuson Stevens Fisheries Act
is currently being organized by both commercial and recreational fishing organizations
including RFA.
The central activity in this effort is a good old fashioned protest/rally on Capital Hill in
Washington DC on February 24th.
The Web Site that gives info on the rally is (www.unitedwefish.com).
MSBA has started to receive questions from members and non members about arranging a
bus from MA . Bottom line is that if we have enough people willing to commit to buy tickets
then MSBA will organize a one day trip.
We are asking any one willing to commit to spending roughly $50 on a ticket to e-mail their
name and contact info to MSBA Gov't Affairs Officer Patrick Paquette (ppaquette@msba.net).
You do not have to be a member to participate even though we welcome all MA fishermen to
become members of MSBA.
