Captain Eric Stewart from The Hook Up came to town and entertained a full house with his stories, a slide show and a video presentation.
Eric is a long time supporter of the MSBA, participating in our annual Sportfishing EXPO for the past several years and giving us yearly entertainment for our monthly meetings when requested. This time, he demonstrated some of his tuna rigs, gear and equipment and answered questions from the crowd afterwards.
|
He discussed his interaction with the UNH Large Pelagics Research Center, tagging and releasing tuna in the hopes that they will be caught again later. The data retrieved can benefit tuna research and help everyone to understand the growth and migratory patterns of tuna.

The night was very entertaining, informative and interesting. At the end of the evening, Patrick got up to share a story with the audience about Eric that happened at the end of our Sportfishing EXPO a couple of years ago. After an extreme snow event that hampered our efforts to get patronage through the doors, Eric was the one person that came up to him to offer his support of our club.
It was a great story and it showed everyone what type of a person Eric is and how he values us as an organization. If you are fishing down in the Orleans area and are in need of bait, tackle, advice or anything else fishing related, stop in and visit his store. He supports us wholeheartetly and deserves our business. When you stop in, tell them you're from MSBA.
The Hook Up is located at #85 Rt. 6-A, Lowell Square, Orleans (508) 240-0778
