Hi All,
The following is an Action Alert from the CHOIR Coalition. We have already made so much progress with
reducing the Total Allowable Catch for herring in the near-shore Gulf of Maine, as well as prevent the
midwater trawlers from hammering that area during the time so many of us rely on a heathy herring resource
to be there for predator species.
Please take a moment to read and send the sample letter by clicking here. (Don't forget the date at the top and
add your name at the bottom). Feel free to make changes. Ideally, it would be most effective if they were sent
before June 17th which is before the next NEFMC meeting.
