MSBA to Help With A “Cleaner Greener Quincy” Lenny Harkins, MSBA Vice President
|
I’m happy to announce that MSBA will assist the city of Quincy in an event called a “Cleaner Greener Quincy” to be held on Saturday May 3rd from 9:00am –12:00pm.
The goal of the event is to provide volunteer services such as trash clean up, plantings, pruning, etc… to Quincy’s open spaces, parks and beaches.
We have been asked to assemble a team of volunteers and target a beach in Quincy. The logical choice would be Wollaston Beach as many of our members routinely fish this very productive area. I am currently working with the city to confirm this location and will post more info on the website as soon as it becomes available.
Last year over 1,500 volunteers dedicated their time and efforts to make this a very successful event.
If you would like to volunteer a few hours for this cause please call or email me and let me know. We will set up a canopy to be used as our meeting place and serve coffee/donuts to all volunteers.
Oh yeah I almost forgot….we will be fishing in the early morning and later that afternoon (and into the night for some), so if you’d like to learn and fish some of Quincy’s hot spots with some of our clubs local experts you should consider volunteering a few hours in this very worthy cause.
Again, please check the web-site or feel free to call me for more up to the minute info and confirmed meeting place.
Thank you…
